When Flo Li obtained her first graphing calculator in 1994, she thought she could finally trace the wonders of the world through the finger tips of mathematics. This is the reason behind her passion for fractals - a daily reminder that the microcosm expresses the macrocosm as we are all subtle parts of a whole. Fractals are divine expressions of creation itself -- with each mathematical function, our world can be transformed into different forms. Using a sine wave here, and an inverse function there while choosing to focus on the imagery or physical numbers, the result is truly a precious piece of art. We, as the artists of the world, have the ability to create our own masterpiece by the simple ingredients we add onto our canvas. Choices have impact. Fractals have the ability to transcend the here and now, instead, the smallest piece of expression becomes that of the larger whole. The microcosm is intimately combined with the macrocosm.
These fractals are signed, 12" X 18" archival prints - limited 100 in black gloss UV protected glass or acrylic 24" x 18" frame with a kiss sealed certificate of authenticity - $500 each.
